As a graduate of the Pacific College of Optometry, Dr. Joanna Barnett has found fulfillment in her nearly 25 years of practice. She is the owner of two optometric practices in Northern Virginian and serves as an Adjunct Professor to the New England College of Optometry and was selected as an honored member of the Nationwide Registries of Top Doctors in America.

Dr. Barnett is dedicated to ensuring the health of each of her patients. “Exceptional eye care is paramount, no exam should ever be considered routine, every eye exam should be conducted with the utmost importance and focused on using a medical approach.” As a full scope provider her specialties include; Pediatric and Adult Vision Evaluations, Glaucoma, Diabetes, Dry Eye Syndrome and more. Working closely with several local non-profit community organizations, Dr. Barnett has helped provide services under the Gift of Sight program to both children and adults alike.

As a small business owner and working mom of eight children, she understands the importance of staying healthy and she is dedicated to helping those around her to do the same.

Was born in Toronto, Canada and is a graduate of University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree at New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA.

Dr. Jalota has over 15 years of experience practicing optometry with special interests in managing ocular disease such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, red eyes, etc. She has also served as a former board member of Northern Virginia Optometric Association and regularly provides eye care services to community members in need through the Gift of Sight program.

Dr. Jalota resides in Aldie, VA with her husband and two children and enjoys family time, traveling and interior design.

Has over 20 years of experience as a dedicated Optometrist, with a love for primary eye care and contact lens. She manages and treats patients with dry eyes, macular degeneration and glaucoma. She received her Doctor of Optometry form NOVA Southeastern University in South Florida. During her free time she enjoys baking, gardening, volunteer work and spending time with her family and dogs.
